About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team at Group Bayport. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing, with hands-on expertise in Playwright framework, API testing, and eCommerce applications. The candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile environment and be eager to leverage AI tools to enhance testing productivity and quality.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect lifecycle.
- Experience in test planning, test case writing, review, and execution.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.
- Strong understanding of automation concepts and reusable framework design. Experience in regression and end-to-end automation. Experience with REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience using Postman or similar tools.
- Understanding of HTTP methods, response codes, and API validations.
- Experience testing eCommerce applications and workflows. Understanding of catalog, cart, checkout, payment, order management, and customer journeys.
- Basic understanding of performance and load testing concepts.
- Knowledge of page load metrics and Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP/FID, TTFB).
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, or similar.
- Ability to leverage AI tools for test case generation and test optimization.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines. Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test scenarios.
- Write, review, and execute manual test cases for web applications and backend services.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Playwright framework.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and validate backend integrations.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, requirement discussions, and defect triage meetings.
- Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely closure.
- Validate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end workflows.
- Monitor application performance and understand page load metrics and Core Web Vitals (CWV) parameters.
- Support performance and load testing activities and contribute towards improving application responsiveness.
- Utilize AI tools to improve test case generation, defect analysis, and overall QA productivity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality best practices.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with JMeter or any load testing tool. Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Exposure to cloud platforms and observability tools is a plus.
