Designation – Social Media Associate (HigherEducation India)

Job Overview -We are looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media Associate to manage and strengthen upGrad's social media presence across various platforms. The ideal candidate should be passionate about digital trends, content creation, community engagement, and brand storytelling. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders, design teams, and external agencies to drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Manage day-to-day activities across social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), YouTube, and other emerging channels.
  • Create and publish engaging content aligned with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Develop monthly social media calendars in collaboration with marketing and business teams.
  • Coordinate with designers, video editors, and content writers to execute campaigns effectively.
  • Monitor social media conversations and respond to comments, messages, and queries in a timely manner.
  • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging platform features to identify new opportunities.
  • Support the execution of organic and paid social media campaigns.
  • Analyze campaign performance and prepare periodic reports highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in influencer collaborations, employee advocacy initiatives, and partnership campaigns.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all social channels.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to promote webinars, events, product launches, learner success stories, and thought leadership content.

Qualifications & Skills -

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Mass Media, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content marketing.
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Canva, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
