Role Summary :

Experienced Backup & Recovery professional with minimum 5 years of expertise in enterprise backup administration, disaster recovery, and infrastructure support across large-scale environments. Specialized in EMC Networker, Cohesity, Dell Data Domain (DD & DDVE), file system backups, database protection, and enterprise backup operations. Strong experience in ITIL service management, stakeholder communication, team leadership, transition management, and operational governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise backup infrastructure using:

o SNAPPY (Internal SAP tool)

o Cohesity

o Dell Data Domain Virtual Edition (DDVE)

• Perform administration, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of backup environments.

• Manage and support:

o File System Backups

o Database Backups

• Ensure successful execution of backup, restore, archival, and disaster recovery operations.

• Handle backup failures, performance tuning, capacity planning, retention management, and storage optimization.

• Lead incident resolution and service restoration activities in line with ITIL processes.

• Manage:

o ITIL Incident Management

o Service Request Management

o Problem Management

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive solutions.

• Coordinate with infrastructure, database, application, storage, and cloud teams for backup integration and support.

• Act as primary customer/stakeholder interface for operational reviews, escalations, and service discussions.

• Prepare operational reports, SLA metrics, compliance reports, and management dashboards.

• Support audit, compliance, and governance activities related to backup and recovery.
