Role Description This is a full-time, Senior Human Resources Manager role based in Mumbai. The Senior Human Resources Manager will lead HR operations for the location, partnering with business leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent development. Daily responsibilities include managing the employee life cycle, overseeing recruitment in collaboration with talent acquisition, and ensuring effective onboarding, performance management, and succession planning. The role will also handle employee relations, guide leaders on HR policies, and drive initiatives that foster an inclusive, high-performance culture. In addition, the Senior Human Resources Manager will oversee compensation and benefits administration at the local level, ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, manage HR data and reporting, and contribute to global HR projects and process improvements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in core HR management, including employee life cycle management, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Strong skills in HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational development, with the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders.
  • Knowledge of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR policies, preferably within a multinational or multi-location organization.
  • Experience in recruitment and talent management, including collaboration with talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, and succession planning.
  • Proficiency in HRIS tools, data analysis, and HR reporting, with the ability to use metrics to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills, with a focus on fairness and inclusivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive culture-building initiatives, and manage HR projects within defined timelines.
  • Ensure compliance as per local & all labour laws (Min wages, Shops & Estb etc.) when dealing with employees at each stage of their employee life cycle.
  • Work with the HR Director, site leads and HODs at each stage, which ensuring the company policies are adhered to.
  • Look after and address all employee grievances in a timely manner.
  • Proactively plug gaps where required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a relevant master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is an advantage.
  • Experience in publishing, content services, or professional services sectors is a plus.
