Lead QA (Automation) (8–12 Years)
Role Purpose
The Lead QA (Automation) is responsible for defining, executing, and governing quality assurance activities across customer implementations, ensuring delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-quality solutions.
The role provides leadership across test planning, test automation, quality validation, defect management, and release readiness while working closely with Business Analysts, Implementation Architects, Configurators, Developers, Product Teams, and customer stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage test strategies, test plans, and quality assurance activities for customer implementations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, test data, and validation frameworks covering functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites using Playwright or similar automation tools.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices across implementation and release cycles.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Configurators, and Implementation Architects to validate business requirements, workflows, integrations, and solution behavior.
- Lead functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing support activities.
- Develop and execute API, workflow, integration, and data validation test cases to ensure solution quality and reliability.
- Track, prioritize, and manage defects through resolution, retesting, and closure while ensuring timely communication of quality risks.
- Support deployment validation, go-live readiness, and post-release verification.
- Promote testing standards, automation best practices, and continuous quality improvement.
- Monitor quality metrics, test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness indicators to drive quality improvements.
- Establish testing standards, automation best practices, reusable test assets, and quality governance processes.
- Mentor QA Engineers and promote quality engineering best practices across implementation teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across testing, automation, release management, and delivery processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright or similar test automation tools.
- Experience in designing automation frameworks using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, or other relevant programming languages.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining automated test suites for enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and workflow-driven solutions.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-driven delivery processes.
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management, and release processes.
- Experience with API testing, integration testing, and validation of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and messaging-based integrations.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience working with insurance carriers and clients across North America or Europe
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Experience with intelligent document processing, AI-enabled solutions, or data validation testing.
- Experience testing workflow automation, BPMN-based solutions, business process orchestration platforms, or configurable enterprise applications.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
