Job Description: Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst focusing on Revenue Operations, you will be the engine room of our financial growth. In the insurance brokerage world, revenue isn't just a single line item—it's a complex web of premiums and commissions.

Your mission is to ensure every rupee is tracked, forecasted, and optimized. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Management & Tracking: Manage the end-to-end revenue lifecycle, including commission reconciliation, take rates analysis, and premium tracking.
  • Forecasting: Develop and maintain rolling revenue forecasts. You'll analyse retention rates and new business pipeline to predict future cash flow. You'll coordinate with business leaders to drive Financial planning and forecasting process.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Identify and report on key revenue drivers, such as retention rates, portfolio mix changes, and take rate shifts. Design and deliver monthly revenue dashboards that highlight the defined KPIs.
  • Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain discrepancies between projected revenue, latest forecast, previous year's revenue and actuals, identifying the reasons of the same and provide insights.
  • Process Improvement: Audit existing revenue workflows to eliminate leakage (uncollected commissions) and automate manual data entry exercises.
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure all revenue recognition is aligned with the company policies and provide necessary documentation for periodic audits.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis. (Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is highly preferred)

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables, and complex modelling)
  • Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Quick Suite)

Skills for Success

  • Attention to Detail: In insurance, a 0.5% commission variance can represent significant revenue. You need an eagle eye for the small stuff.
  • Curiosity: You don't just report the numbers; you want to know why the numbers are moving.
  • Communication: You can translate finance-speak into clear insights for leadership.
