Software Engineer in Test

About the Role:

PhysicsWallah is looking for an experienced SDET-2 to join our QA team. The role involves working on automation, mobile, web, and API testing for large-scale consumer-facing applications used by millions of learners.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in automation frameworks, mobile testing, and backend/API validation, along with a passion for delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual and automation testing for web, mobile, and backend applications.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to ensure high-quality feature releases.
• Perform API and microservices testing.
• Execute mobile application testing and automation using Appium.
• Identify, track, and troubleshoot bugs and performance issues.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, automation coverage, and testing best practices.

Required Skills:

• 3 to 6 years of experience in web, mobile, and backend application testing.
• Strong experience in Automation Testing using Selenium.
• Hands-on experience in Mobile Testing and Automation using Appium.
• Experience in API and Microservices Testing.
• Experience with API Automation using RestAssured.
• Strong coding skills in Java with good understanding of OOPs concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Knowledge of debugging and network tools such as Charles or Fiddler.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
