3GPP RAN-2 Standardization

Role

• 3GPP RAN WG2 Standardization Expert
• Focus on 5G-Advanced and 6G technology research & standardization
• Participation in 3GPP RAN WG2 meetings

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate technology concepts for 5G-Advanced (Release 20+) and 6G, and prepare reports/presentations
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for Layer 2/3 (L2/L3) technology concepts
• Prepare 3GPP contribution documents (Tdocs, CRs) based on internal research
• Attend and present contributions in 3GPP RAN WG2 standardization meetings
• Draft technology patents aligned with 3GPP and industry standards
• Analyze and report on contributions from other companies in RAN WG2
• Prepare meeting reports and conduct internal debrief sessions
• Track developments across other 3GPP WGs and related organizations
• Collaborate with delegates in forums like O-RAN, Next G Alliance, and ETSI
• Support engineering and customer-facing teams (reviews, pre-sales, troubleshooting) on 3GPP topics

Preferred

• Experience in patent filing
• Hands-on with 3GPP contributions & approvals
• Participation in 3GPP standardization meetings

Qualifications

• Degree in Communications/Electronics/CS/Physics/Maths
• PhD preferred (Wireless / DSP)
