If you love creating beautiful textures that bring characters, props, and environments to life and you understand how they function inside Unity then this role is for you.

Role Description

We are looking for a 3D Texture Artist who can create high-quality stylized textures and knows how to bring them to life inside Unity. You should understand how textures behave in a game engine - UVs, lightmaps, compression, materials, and optimization, and work closely with our 3D and Unity team to deliver polished game-ready assets.

Responsibilities

  • Create hand-painted, stylized textures with depth, hue variation, and fake lighting cues.
  • Produce seamless textures (terrain, walls, props, foliage, etc.) 
  • Work with UV maps, ensuring correct unwrapping, minimal stretching, and efficient layout.
  • Build and maintain texture atlases for batching and optimization.
  • Apply correct texture compression, mipmaps, channels, and optimizations for mobile and VR.
  • Add baked lighting, stylized shadows, AO, and highlights within texture maps.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Unity URP shaders (toon shaders, stylized lighting, emission, gradient ramps).

Ability to create detail maps, normal maps, roughness maps, AO maps as required.

Understanding of PBR vs stylized workflows.

Experience with substance painter, designer, blender, Photoshop, or Procreate.
