We are looking for a 3D Prop Artist based in North East India to join our team for an upcoming unannounced game title.

You will be working with an experienced game development team that has previously developed and released a 20+ hour Metroidvania. This is a challenging, production-focused role with clear deliverables, structured schedules, and tight deadlines. It is a strong opportunity for an artist looking to gain hands-on experience working on a full-scale commercial game production.

What You'll Be Working On

Your primary responsibility will be creating game-ready 3D props and environmental assets based on defined production requirements and schedules.

The role will involve:

  • Creating game-optimized 3D models and props.
  • UV mapping and preparing assets for texturing.
  • Creating high-quality textures and materials.
  • Sculpting outdoor formations, rocks, terrain-related assets, and other organic forms using ZBrush.
  • Optimizing assets for use in a real-time game environment.
  • Creating stylized textures and materials that match the established visual direction of the project, with a focus on strong shapes, colour, and readable surface details.
  • Importing and integrating completed 3D assets into the game engine.
  • Ensuring assets meet the technical and visual requirements defined by the development team.
  • Working against a clear production schedule with defined deliverables and expectations.

Artists who consistently complete their primary responsibilities to a high standard will also have opportunities to contribute to environment design and world-building for the game.

Required Skills

You should have working knowledge of:

  • Blender
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Substance 3D Painter
  • ZBrush
  • At least one modern game engine

You should understand the fundamentals of:

  • Game-optimized modelling
  • UV mapping
  • Texturing and material creation
  • Real-time asset optimization
  • Integrating 3D assets into a game engine

Experience with Unreal Engine is a strong plus.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrated ability through an art portfolio, preferably on Artstation(Mandatory)
  • Learns quickly and is comfortable picking up new workflows.
  • Has a strong interest in video games and game development.
  • Can work within structured schedules and meet tight production deadlines.
  • Is comfortable with stylized art and texturing workflows. Prior experience creating high-quality stylized game assets will be a significant plus for this role.
  • Is comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on their work.
  • Takes responsibility for assigned deliverables.
  • Is interested in understanding how art assets function inside an actual game, rather than only creating portfolio renders.

An interest in simulation games, cozy games, or similar genres will be particularly helpful for this project.

Work Setup

Incubator seating and workspace infrastructure will be available in Aizawl, Mizoram.

The selected artist will be required to have their own computer/workstation capable of handling 3D game art production.

All required professional software licences for the project will be provided by the studio.

About the Opportunity

This is expected to be a 6–8 month engagement beginning in mid-August 2026.

The project will move at a fast pace and the role will be demanding. In return, you will have the opportunity to work closely with an experienced game development team on an unannounced title and gain practical experience with real production schedules, asset pipelines, engine integration, and commercial game development.
