Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Solid Edge Modeler or Drafter to create accurate 3D models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings for steel trailer components. The role supports one of North America's leading custom trailer manufacturers and requires strong technical drafting expertise using Solid Edge software.
Key Responsibilities :
- Examine documents such as drawings and specifications to detail 2D drawings;
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings by modeling individual parts, sheet metal parts and assemblies;
- Confer with the coordinator to obtain missing information and to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documents;
- Consult with the coordinator for any special considerations;
- Incorporate and understand corrections and/or adjustments after drawings are reviewed;
- Use computer-assisted drafting equipment and software (Solid Edge)
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating effectively with coworkers and supervisors;
Qualifications :
- Graduate or Diploma (Mechanical / Civil)
- Advanced knowledge and/or experience in using Solid Edge
- Exposure in TeamCentre is added advantage
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, drawings and job specifications;
