Role Overview
We are looking for a 3D Modeler Intern with strong Unity and 3D modeling skills to develop high-quality, optimized digital assets for simulation, visualization, and interactive robotic platforms.
This role requires balancing visual fidelity with real-time performance while contributing to surgical training, product visualization, and system simulation environments.
What You'll Get Done:
- Design and model game-ready 3D assets (hard body & soft body) optimized for real-time rendering in Unity.
- Perform UV mapping, PBR texturing, texture baking, rigging, and topology optimization.
- Import, organize, and configure assets in Unity with proper material setup, lighting compatibility, and LOD implementation.
- Collaborate with software developers, designers, and robotics teams to align assets with functional and narrative goals.
- Maintain consistent art style and optimization standards while iterating based on structured feedback.
Your Skill Stack:
- Undergraduate student or recent graduate in Design, Animation, Game Development, Robotics, or related field.
- Portfolio demonstrating Unity-based 3D projects.
- Proficiency in Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
- Basic understanding of animation workflows.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong 3D modeling skills with optimized topology for real-time environments.
- Understanding of Unity workflows (prefabs, materials, shaders, lighting, LODs).
- Knowledge of PBR texturing, UV mapping, rigging, and baking.
- Ability to balance visual realism with performance optimization.
- Attention to detail and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
A Plus not a Must:
- Understanding of human anatomy (preferred for surgical simulations).
- Exposure to medical visualization or robotics simulation projects.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Unity (C#).
