Description
GlobalLogic looking for a 3D Modeler to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality 3D assets and environments for mapping and visualization projects. The role involves transforming 2D source data into detailed 3D models such as roads, buildings, terrain, water bodies, and city structures. The ideal candidate should have strong visual and spatial awareness along with a good understanding of 3D modeling tools and techniques. This position offers an opportunity to work on impactful visualization projects in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- 0 – 3 years of experience in 3D modeling tools such as 3ds Max, Maya, Illustrator, SolidWorks, Photoshop, or proprietary tools, with demonstrated aptitude for 3D modeling
- Certification in 3D modeling from a reputed institute is preferred
- Strong artistic sensibility with good visual and spatial awareness and the ability to interpret real-world environments into virtual 3D form
- Ability to abstract real-world details into essential 3D representations
- Good knowledge of low-poly modeling and texturing techniques
- Strong visualization and interpretation skills for creating and enhancing 3D map objects
- Additional skills in 3D animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, and editing will be considered an advantage
- Must possess any graduation degree (Must have Provisional Certificate & Consolidated Marks Memo)
- Must be willing to work from office & in rotational shifts (5 Working Days & 2 Week Offs)
- Only immediate joiners are preferred.
Job responsibilities
- Develop understanding of relevant 3D tools, platforms, technologies, and processes as required, and demonstrate capability by delivering assigned project outputs
- Work with proprietary 3D tools, interpret 2D source material, and create accurate 3D models including, but not limited to, linear and
- intersecting roads, buildings with varying levels of detail, terrain and land surfaces, water bodies, and structures such as bridges, along with various city props
- Apply strong visual and spatial understanding to convert 2D source data into detailed and structured 3D representations
- Demonstrate awareness of different 3D styles and make informed creative decisions, with the ability to clearly justify design choices
- Perform quality checks on input data to validate accuracy and consistency, with appropriate support and guidance
