About the Role
Short Term Contract / Freelance
We are looking for a skilled 3D Weapon Artist to create stylized low poly weapons for a mobile game targeted at low-end devices.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in creating hand-painted, unlit stylized textures optimized for mobile games.
Role Responsibilities
- Create high-quality stylized weapon models optimized for mobile
- Design and model a variety of weapons with strong, readable silhouettes
- Create hand-painted stylized textures with an unlit/shadeless workflow
- Maintain low polygon counts while preserving visual appeal
- Deliver clean, game-ready assets optimized for low-end devices
- Work closely with the art team to match the project's visual style
Requirements
- Strong portfolio showcasing stylized weapon art
- Proven experience with hand-painted unlit textures
- Experience creating low poly assets for mobile games
- Good understanding of optimization for low-end Android/iOS devices
- Knowledge of efficient UVs, topology, and texture workflows
- Ability to deliver polished production-ready assets independently
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Unity pipelines
- Understanding of stylized mobile game art direction
- Ability to iterate quickly based on feedback
- Experience with fantasy, casual, or arcade-style weapon designs
