Role Description This is a full-time, on-site 3B2 Compositor role based in Dehradun. The 3B2 Compositor will be responsible for composing and formatting books, journals, and other print or digital products using 3B2/APP or similar typesetting tools in line with client specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include setting up templates, applying styles, managing pagination, handling complex layouts, and ensuring accurate placement of text, graphics, tables, and equations. The role involves closely reviewing source files, identifying layout or formatting issues, and collaborating with quality assurance, editorial, and production teams to resolve queries. The 3B2 Compositor will also be expected to follow defined workflows, meet production timelines, maintain version control, and support process improvements and automation initiatives where applicable.

Qualifications

• Strong compositing skills for print and digital outputs, with experience in 3B2/APP or similar composition/typesetting tools.
• Knowledge of computer graphics and layout principles, with the ability to handle complex page makeup involving images, tables, and equations.
• Understanding of animation or interactive elements as they relate to digital publishing workflows is an advantage.
• Exposure to lighting, visual consistency, and aesthetic standards in media or publishing workflows is beneficial.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret and implement client style guides and specifications.
• Ability to work on-site in Dehradun, manage deadlines in a production environment, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Publishing, Graphic Arts, Computer Science, Multimedia, or a related field; prior experience in book or journal composition is preferred.
