Role Overview:
This role is primarily a 2D animator who also refines storyboards. You'll animate expressive character movements eyes, faces, hands, body language, timing, transitions, and cinematic motions to produce polished, final-quality shots for our 2D universes. Alongside animation, you'll take rough storyboards and clean them up just enough to clarify poses, emotions, and shot flow so your animation work is smoother and more accurate. The role blends strong animation skills with the ability to interpret and refine storyboards for high-quality scene execution.
Core Responsibilities:
Storyboard Refinement:
Take rough storyboard panels and refine them into clean, readable poses.
Improve clarity of acting, expressions, body language, and shot framing.
Maintain consistency with character designs, proportions, and emotions.
Work closely with Storyboard Lead & Director for corrections.
Prepare clean line-art versions of key scenes for animators.
2D Frame by Frame Animation:
Animate scenes in our pipeline style:
Facial animations (blinks, eye movements, mouth shapes).
Simple body motions (turns, gestures, tilts).
Camera effects (zoom, pan, hold, dramatic push-ins).
Required Skills:
Strong drawing fundamentals (proportion, gesture, expressions).
Ability to refine rough storyboard panels cleanly.
Good understanding of shot composition and visual storytelling.
Basic 2D animation skills timing, spacing, expressions, acting.
Comfortable using software like Clip Studio Paint / Photoshop / Krita, and basic animation tools.
