Position: 2D Animator (With Rigging + After Effects Expertise)
We are looking for a skilled, imaginative, and disciplined 2D Animator who can take a horror script and bring it to life through expressive character animation, strong rigging, and visually striking motion.

What You Will Do
2D Animation & Storytelling
- Animate characters, props, and scenes for horror-based storytelling using 2D animation software.
- Bring emotional depth, expressions, and timing to characters.
- Translate scripts and storyboards into smooth, engaging animated sequences.
Character Rigging
- Create complete 2D character rigs for efficient and expressive animation.
- Work with layered PSD files / character designs to prepare clean, production-ready rigs.
- Optimize rigs for fast and flexible animation workflows.
Motion Graphics & VFX (After Effects)
- Add eerie visual effects, atmosphere, lighting, glows, and transitions using After Effects.
- Integrate camera movements, parallax effects, shadows, and horror-specific visual treatments.
- Enhance scenes with mood, depth, and cinematic appeal.
Production Collaboration
- Work closely with scriptwriters, storyboard artists, editors, sound designers, and the creative director.
- Follow the established horror art direction and maintain consistency.
- Manage timelines and deliver high-quality outputs under production deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in 2D animation software (Adobe Animate, Toon Boom, Moho, or equivalent).
- Expertise in Character Rigging (cut-out or hybrid).
- Solid knowledge of Adobe After Effects for effects, motion enhancements, and compositing.
- Understanding of lighting, timing, keyframe animation, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to create horror ambience and mood through movement and effects.
- Along with high-quality animation, the candidate must maintain strong speed and efficiency, as our production schedule requires delivering one full video every week
Creative Skills
- Strong sense of pacing, expressions, acting, and character movement.
- Good understanding of horror visual language (shadows, suspense buildup, dynamic timing).
- Ability to bring cinematic feel to simple scenes.
Additional Qualifications
- Minimum 25 years of experience in 2D animation.
- A strong demo reel or portfolio showcasing character animation AND effects work.
- Ability to work independently and also collaborate with a team.
- Passion for horror content is a huge plus.
