Senior Accounting Supervisor (Global Business Services - Finance)
Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid)
About The Role
The Deputy Manager – Finance is a key member of the Global Business Services organization and serves as the India Controllership lead. The role is responsible for managing core accounting operations, ensuring strong compliance with statutory and US GAAP requirements, and leading a team delivering consistent, highquality financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Shared Services Accounting Operations
- Lead the Indiabased Global Business Services – Finance team supporting General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Intercompany accounting.
- Manage monthend, quarterend, and yearend close activities for assigned global legal entities, ensuring adherence to close calendars and quality standards.
- Review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, payroll accounting, leases, and intercompany transactions.
- Ensure timely completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis, with disciplined followup on open items.
Controllership & Statutory Compliance (India)
- Act as India Entity Controller with responsibility for statutory books, regulatory filings, and management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, Companies Act requirements, and relevant local tax and statutory regulations.
- Support accurate and compliant reporting under US GAAP in coordination with global controllers.
- Coordinate internal audits, statutory audits, and external audits, ensuring timely closure of observations and action items.
Controls, Governance & Stakeholder Partnership
- Support maintenance of strong internal controls and documentation in line with company policies.
- Partner with Global Controllers, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and HR teams on accountingrelated matters.
- Apply sound accounting judgment and escalate issues appropriately with clear analysis and recommendations.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Support standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes.
- Contribute to automation and efficiency improvements within an SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Ensure consistent process adherence across the shared services team.
People Leadership
- Lead, guide, and review the work of the shared services team.
- Support team development through coaching, effective task allocation, and performance feedback.
- Foster a strong culture of accountability, compliance, and attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / CMA
- 7–10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
- 3–5 years of people leadership experience in a shared services or global finance environment
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, Indian GAAP, internal controls, and statutory requirements
- Handson experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred
- Good analytical skills, structured approach, and ability to work effectively with global stakeholders
