Role Summary
The Administration Apprentice will support daily administrative operations of NEC and gain practical exposure to workplace facilities and office infrastructure. Along with learning, the apprentice is expected to use his basic technical understanding and analytical skills to conduct market research and suggest improvements in admin services and office work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Facilities Support
- Assist in day-to-day administration and facility operations
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for Facility services
- Support documentation, trackers, and basic reporting
Technical & Infrastructure Exposure
- Assist in coordination related to:
- Power backup / UPS systems
- HVAC (air-conditioning and ventilation)
- Basic electrical and office infrastructure issues
- Observe workplace comfort, power reliability, and infrastructure effectiveness
- Share improvement ideas to enhance efficiency, uptime, and employee comfort
Safety & Security
- Understand safety, fire, and electrical compliance requirements for office buildings.
- Support safety and security operations, drills, and awareness programs
- Assist in safety and compliance audits, documentation, and closure of observations
Transport, Travel & EA Support
- Assist in employee transport and travel coordination
- Support scheduling, communication, and basic EA activities
Employee Engagement & Improvement Inputs
- Support employee engagement initiatives and events
- Collect feedback through simple surveys or interactions
- Conduct basic research or market study within scope
- Share practical suggestions to improve admin services and workplace experience
Desired Profile
- Graduate / Diploma / Final-year student (any discipline with technical inclination preferred)
- Basic technical understanding (electrical)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
