As a Software Development Engineer on our AB 3P Tech team, you'll work with a highly technical, entrepreneurial team building distributed systems that power the B2B selling experience. You'll drive end-to-end development from design to delivery, make strategic technology decisions, and mentor junior engineering talent. Your team will own critical systems spanning from Seller Central to Amazon Business detail pages, cart, and checkout for merchant-fulfilled offers.

Join us in shaping the future of B2B selling - we're leveraging emerging AI technologies and innovating across the seller experience to create significant impact in this fast-growing business.

Key job responsibilities
You'll architect and build scalable solutions using Web Services, APIs, and Micro-Services architecture. Working within our entrepreneurial team, you'll drive development of high-performance systems, implementing industry-leading design patterns and coding practices.

Your role combines technical leadership with hands-on development. You'll mentor junior engineers while partnering with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Strong communication skills are essential as you'll lead technical discussions and influence architectural decisions.

You'll contribute to innovation through emerging technologies and business challenges. You'll own software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle - from coding standards and reviews to build processes and operations, while helping establish engineering excellence.

A day in the life
You will start your day reviewing operational metrics and addressing any alerts before diving into feature development or system improvements. Expect to participate in design discussions, write and review code, and pair with teammates to solve tricky problems.
