EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

Minimum: Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering
Preferred: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering (Electrical or Electronics background is an added advantage for this role)

Experience

Senior Engineer: minimum 6 years of sourcing / purchase experience in a manufacturing environment and direct ownership of a COTS / electro-mechanical commodity.
Experience in an aerospace, defence or space industry supply chain is mandatory; AS9100 certified organisation preferred.
Demonstrated hands-on exposure to imported catalogue parts, franchised distributor channels and long-lead connector and cable procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Float RFQs to OEMs, franchised distributors and approved sources; obtain quotations, prepare comparison statements and recommend the source.
SAP with correct part number, dash number, revision, specification and packaging requirements.
Prepare landed-cost workings for assigned part families under the guidance of the Senior Engineer.
Verify Certificate of Conformance, OEM traceability, date code, batch and shelf-life data at receipt; hand over documentation to Quality and Stores.
Track materials changes, get ECO approval
Maintain supplier master data, price history, lead-time database and part cross-reference records in SAP.
Source prototype and first-article COTS parts for NPD / APQP projects as per project timelines
