Business Analyst / Product Owner-P&C Insurance

Location: Noida

Role Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst / Product Owner with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain expertise to drive business and product initiatives across the insurance lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will go beyond traditional requirements gathering and demonstrate a strong product mindset, ownership, strategic thinking, and innovation orientation. The role will involve understanding business and customer needs, shaping product direction, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business vision into actionable product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and drive business/product initiatives across the P&C insurance domain, from ideation through implementation.
Develop a strong understanding of P&C insurance products, processes, customer journeys, and business challenges.
Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership to define product vision, priorities, and roadmap.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, product enhancement, automation, and innovation.
Translate business objectives and customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
Lead requirement discovery through workshops, stakeholder discussions, process analysis, and data-driven insights.
Prioritize requirements based on business value, customer impact, feasibility, and strategic objectives.
Work closely with engineering and delivery teams throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure the intended business outcomes are achieved.
Act as a strong business/product advocate, challenging existing processes and bringing forward new ideas and solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across underwriting, claims, policy administration, distribution, billing, and other relevant P&C functions.
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving customer expectations to identify new product and innovation opportunities.
Define and track business outcomes, product success metrics, and adoption.
Effectively communicate product direction, priorities, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar product/business leadership role.
Strong and hands-on Property & Casualty (P&C) / General Insurance domain experience.
Good understanding of P&C insurance processes such as underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, distribution, and/or rating.
Demonstrated experience in product ownership, product strategy, roadmap development, or business transformation.
Strong ability to understand business problems and translate them into practical, scalable product solutions.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively with business, technology, engineering, and senior leadership teams.
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
Strong customer-centric and product-oriented mindset.

What We Are Looking For:

The right candidate should be more than a traditional requirements-focused BA. We are looking for someone who:

Thinks like a product owner, not just a requirements analyst.
Can take ownership of a product/problem area and drive it forward.
Is comfortable challenging the status quo and proposing better ways of working.
Has a strong strategic and innovation-driven mindset.
Can connect business needs, customer expectations, technology, and commercial outcomes.
Can influence stakeholders and drive decisions rather than simply document requirements.
Demonstrates strong product evangelism and ownership.

Preferred Background:

Candidates from P&C insurance carriers, InsurTechs, insurance platforms, insurance technology companies, or large insurance transformation programs would be preferred.

Ideal profile:

P&C Domain Expert + Senior/Lead BA or Product Owner + Product Strategy/Ownership + Strong Stakeholder Management + Innovation Mindset.
