Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Trainer is responsible for developing, designing, and delivering comprehensive training programs to new and existing employees on accounts receivable processes, systems, and best practices. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent service quality, reducing errors, and building a skilled workforce capable of managing cash flow operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Training Program Development & Design

· Develop and maintain comprehensive training curriculum for Accounts Receivable processes covering end-to-end workflows

· Create training materials including presentations, video modules, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and documentation

· Design batch-wise training programs for freshers aligned with organizational standards

· Prepare hard copy and digital training materials with clear explanations and visual aids

· Update training content regularly to reflect process changes, system updates, and industry best practices

Training Delivery & Facilitation

· Conduct training sessions for multiple batches of new and existing employees

· Deliver engaging and interactive training on AR processes including invoice processing, payment collection, and credit management

· Adapt training delivery based on learner needs and diverse learning styles

· Provide hands-on training using relevant accounting software and company systems (ERP, SAP, or similar)

· Ensure adherence to training schedules and timelines

Assessment & Progress Monitoring

· Conduct pre-training and post-training assessments to evaluate learner competency

· Monitor employee progress and provide constructive feedback

· Create assessment tools to measure knowledge retention and practical application

· Identify knowledge gaps and provide remedial training as needed

· Maintain training records and generate performance reports

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

· Collaborate with HR and Department Management to identify training needs across the organization

· Conduct monthly training needs analysis and recommend curriculum updates

· Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy of training content

· Communicate training schedules and updates to relevant departments

· Partner with quality assurance teams to reinforce training adherence in daily operations

Process Knowledge & Continuous Improvement

· Maintain deep expertise in all accounts receivable processes, credit policies, and company procedures

· Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and system enhancements

· Identify gaps between ideal and current performance and recommend training interventions

· Document process improvements based on trainee feedback and performance metrics

· Contribute to the development of standardized processes and documentation

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Trainee Competency Rate: Minimum 85% of trainees meeting competency standards within training period

· Training Completion Rate: 100% completion of assigned training modules

· Post-Training Performance: Trainees achieving quality metrics (accuracy >95%) within 30 days of training

· Training Satisfaction Score: Average rating ≥ 4.0/5.0 from trainee feedback

· Time-to-Productivity: Trainees reaching 80% productivity within 30 days of training completion

· Error Reduction: Demonstrable reduction in trainee errors from pre-training to post-training assessments

· Course Material Completion: Timely development and delivery of all training materials as scheduled

Required Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration (mandatory)

· Graduation certificate and relevant academic transcripts

· Any professional certifications in accounting or finance (e.g., CPA, CA, B.Com, B.A. with accounting specialization)

Professional Experience

· Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable operations or finance domain

· Minimum 1-2 years of proven training or mentoring experience (direct or indirect)

· Experience with end-to-end AR processes including invoice processing, collections, and payment reconciliation

· Prior experience in a BPO or KPO environment (preferred but not mandatory)

· Experience training multiple and large batches simultaneously (preferred)

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)

· Strong knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)

· Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

· Understanding of invoicing, billing, and payment processing systems

· Familiarity with invoice management and AR reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications

· Training and Development certification (IITD, NHRDN, or equivalent)

· Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training software

· Exposure to quality assurance and process documentation

· International AR processes or multi-country finance operations

· Bilingual capability (Hindi and English)

· Background in corporate training or learning and development (L&D)
