Job Description

Position: Admission Counsellor
Location: Saket, New Delhi & Faridabad

Summary of Job:

The role will focus on achieving admission targets through effective lead management, parent engagement, school outreach, relationship building, and conversion of prospective enquiries into confirmed admissions.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Admissions & Student Acquisition

Drive student acquisition and enrolment initiatives to achieve defined admission targets.
Manage the end-to-end admissions funnel, including enquiry generation, lead qualification, counselling, campus visits, applications, follow-ups, conversion and admission closure.
Counsel prospective parents and students regarding the school's academic programmes, curriculum, pedagogy, co-curricular activities, facilities, fee structure, and overall value proposition.
Conduct personalized interactions with prospective parents to understand their requirements and provide appropriate guidance.
Follow up systematically with prospective parents through calls, emails, WhatsApp and other appropriate communication channels.
Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, applications, visits, conversions and admissions.
Ensure timely and professional responses to all admission-related enquiries.
Work closely with the school's admissions and academic teams to facilitate assessments, interactions and other admission-related processes.

2. Outreach, Student Acquisition & School Promotion

Develop and execute local outreach initiatives to generate quality admission leads.
Build relationships with feeder schools, preschools, educational institutions, community organizations, corporates, RWAs and other relevant stakeholders.
Participate in education fairs, exhibitions, school outreach programmes and community events.
Identify new channels and opportunities for student acquisition within the school's catchment area.
Conduct presentations and awareness sessions for prospective parents and community groups.
Support initiatives aimed at increasing the school's visibility, reputation and positioning within the local community.
Collaborate with the marketing/communication team to promote the school's achievements, programmes, activities and unique value proposition.
Support the development of admission-related communication material, presentations, brochures and digital content.

3. Parent Engagement & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing parents.
Organize and participate in Open Houses, campus visits, parent interactions, admission counselling sessions and information sessions.
Address parent queries and concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution or escalation wherever required.
Act as an effective bridge between prospective parents and relevant school departments.
Gather feedback from parents and identify opportunities to improve the admission and parent experience.

4. Events & Engagement Activities

Plan and coordinate admission-related events including Open Houses, campus visits, parent orientation programmes, workshops and outreach activities.
Support school events and community engagement initiatives that contribute to student acquisition and school visibility.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of events and outreach programmes.

5. Data Management, Reporting & Analytics

Maintain and regularly update the admissions database/CRM with accurate lead and applicant information.
Track the complete admission funnel from enquiry to confirmed admission.
Monitor key admission metrics including enquiries generated, leads contacted, counselling sessions, campus visits, applications received, assessments/interactions completed, admissions confirmed, conversion ratio and source-wise lead generation.
Prepare periodic MIS and admission reports for school leadership.
Analyze admission trends and outreach effectiveness and recommend corrective actions wherever required.
Ensure timely follow-up and closure of all active leads.

6. Student & Parent Experience

Support initiatives that contribute to a positive experience for students and parents during the admission and onboarding journey.
Coordinate with academic and administrative teams to facilitate a smooth transition of newly admitted students into the school.
Participate in parent/student feedback initiatives and recommend improvements in the overall admission experience.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Education or a related discipline.
MBA/PGDM will be an added advantage.
3–5 years of relevant experience in school admissions, student acquisition, counselling, outreach, enrollment management, parent engagement or school administration.
Prior experience in a K-12 school is strongly preferred.
Experience in handling admission targets and managing the complete admission funnel will be an advantage.
Proven ability to counsel and influence prospective parents and convert enquiries into admissions.
Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, networking and stakeholder-management skills.
Strong follow-up, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Good working knowledge of MS Office and admission/CRM systems.
Ability to analyse admission data and prepare MIS reports.
Willingness to undertake local travel for outreach and admission-related activities.
