What would you do

You will be aligned with our Finance Operations vertical and will be helping us in determining financial outcomes by collecting operational data reports, whilst conducting analysis and reconciling transactions.
The Record to Report team supports accurate period end financial reporting, general ledger integrity, reconciliations, controls and audit ready accounting across assigned entities and accounts.
The Lease Accounting team maintains the lease register and processes approved lease parameters, commencement accounting, right of use assets, lease liabilities, modifications, remeasurements and terminations. The team posts initial and subsequent lease entries, maintains contracts and amendments, monitors key lease events, performs lease related reconciliations and close activities, and prepares periodic lease
An end-to-end service allowing for IFRS and U.
GAAP compliance in the financial reporting of leases, overseeing all aspects of the lease agreement process, from coordinating the creation of a new lease to managing day-to-day administrative tasks, overseeing the administration, tracking, and auditing of lease documents, and monitoring the business and financial transactions for lease properties What are we looking for
Finance Processes
ASC 842 and or IFRS 16, lease classification, ROU asset and lease liability accounting
Ability to interpret approved lease terms and translate them into system parameters
Systems Knowledge (preferred)
Exposure to CoStar and Yardi ERP
Industry Experience (preferred)
Experience in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) Roles and Responsibilities:
In this role, you need to analyze and solve moderately complex problems
You are required to create new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures
You are required to understand the strategic direction set by senior management, clearly communicate team goals, deliverables, and keep the team updated on change
Your primary upward interactions are with your direct supervisor
Input approved lease parameters, validate system outputs, post commencement and recurring journal entries and prepare lease summaries.
Process approved modifications, remeasurements and termination entries, including derecognition and gain loss treatment.
Update lease schedules and registers, reconcile lease subledger balances to the GL and investigate differences.
Prepare lease maturity, liability and ROU asset reports, maintain support and respond to audit and stakeholder queries; specific KPI targets
