This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Account Manager (Project Operations & Client Relationships) based in India.

This is a senior account management role focused on owning key client relationships and leading creative project execution from end to end. You will manage complex accounts, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure projects are delivered smoothly, on time, and to a high standard. The role combines client servicing, project management, team leadership, talent coordination, proposals, pricing, and commercial decision-making. You will act as a trusted point of contact for clients while building strong internal processes and accountability across your accounts. The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to manage larger, more complex relationships in a fast-moving creative environment. You will also contribute to building and developing a high-performing account management team.

Accountabilities

Own key client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, attention to detail, regular calls, requirement gathering, follow-ups, and consistent confidence in project delivery.
Independently manage ongoing client accounts and projects, coordinating communication, timelines, deliverables, priorities, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
Lead and manage Account Managers or Account Executives by setting clear direction, reviewing work quality, coaching on client handling and project execution, and maintaining accountability across the team.
Coordinate creative talent based on project requirements, evaluating quality, fit, availability, timelines, and budget to support effective project delivery.
Lead the development of proposals, scopes, project plans, and solutions based on client requirements.
Own pricing discussions, commercial decisions, and project solutioning while maintaining strong awareness of project economics and client needs.
Track project progress and account performance while maintaining accurate documentation across proposals, timelines, deliverables, communications, and key account updates.
Establish strong operational discipline across assigned accounts and identify opportunities to improve workflows, communication, and execution.
Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and represent the business confidently during client and leadership interactions.
Take ownership of complex issues, resolve problems proactively, and ensure projects and accounts continue moving forward with minimal supervision.
Support the development of a high-performing account management function through coaching, process improvement, knowledge sharing, and consistent execution standards.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in agency environments, particularly across account management, client servicing, and project leadership.
Current or recent experience as a Senior Manager, Group Account Manager, Account Director, or in an equivalent account leadership position.
Proven experience managing and developing teams through coaching, delegation, performance management, and accountability.
Strong track record of managing client relationships end to end, including relationships with senior stakeholders.
Strong domain experience across design, video, content, and broader creative services.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence representing the business in front of clients and leadership.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate multiple moving pieces while maintaining delivery quality.
Strong commercial understanding across pricing, proposals, project economics, and account management.
Ownership mindset with the ability to take initiative, make decisions, and drive projects and relationships forward independently.
Strong client relationship management and client services capabilities.
Experience with key account management, marketing campaign management, and team handling is advantageous.
