About This Role

We are seeking an accounting professional with experience in month-end close activities and practical SAP knowledge to support lease accounting and contract processing. You will help ensure accurate contract creation and modification, complete IFRS 16 compliance checks, post payments in accordance with contract terms, and resolve stakeholder queries efficiently. The role involves close collaboration with local market teams, finance operations, business stakeholders and landlords in a virtual, matrix-based environment.

What You Will Do

Process contract creations and modifications accurately within agreed timelines.

Validate contract conditions and confirm that all required controls are in place before payments are posted.

Complete IFRS 16 compliance checks for each applicable contract.

Post vendor and landlord payments in line with agreed contract terms.

Understand upstream dependencies and work with relevant teams to facilitate timely contract postings.

Resolve queries from local market Finance Operations teams, business stakeholders and landlords on a first-time-right basis.

Respond to stakeholder enquiries promptly, clearly and accurately.

Provide focused operational support to local market functions.

Collaborate effectively within a virtual, matrix-based team and engage stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.

Work with cross-functional teams to identify and support process improvements across Group Common Functions.

Analyse and respond to non-English queries from European stakeholders concerning lease accounting, using appropriate tools and process knowledge.

Who You Are

You have sound accounting knowledge and experience supporting month-end close activities.

You possess practical working knowledge of SAP.

You understand contract processing, payment postings and financial controls.

You have knowledge of, or experience working with, IFRS 16 lease accounting requirements.

You can analyse operational queries and provide clear, accurate and timely responses.

You collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed stakeholders.

You can work independently while contributing effectively within a virtual, matrix-based team.

You demonstrate attention to detail, accountability and a first-time-right approach.

You are comfortable using appropriate tools to interpret and respond to non-English business queries.
