About the Role

We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Intern to work directly with the founding team on building and executing the go-to-market activities for one of our emerging sub-brands.

This is not a passive or purely desk-based internship.

You will be involved in real market-facing work — from identifying prospects and cold calling to customer conversations, market mapping, campaign execution, lead generation, competitor analysis, and building dashboards that help the team make business decisions.

The role is ideal for someone who wants to understand what actually goes into building a business from the ground up and is comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where targets, execution, follow-ups, and measurable outcomes matter.

You will work closely with the Founder and gain direct exposure to sales strategy, marketing strategy, customer acquisition, market intelligence, and on-ground business execution.

What You Will Work On

Sales & Business Development

Conduct cold calls, outreach, follow-ups, and lead-generation activities.
Identify, map, and build databases of relevant customers, businesses, distributors, partners, and other market stakeholders.
Support prospecting and customer acquisition initiatives.
Participate in customer conversations and understand requirements, objections, and buying behaviour.
Maintain lead pipelines and track follow-ups systematically.
Work towards defined outreach and lead-generation targets.
Learn to operate in a target-driven environment with real business pressure.

Market Research & Analytics

Conduct on-ground and secondary market research.
Analyse competitors, pricing, customer segments, market trends, and opportunities.
Build and maintain market-analysis dashboards and basic business reports.
Create contact maps, prospect databases, market maps, and customer-segment databases.
Convert raw market information into actionable insights for the founding team.
Track campaign, outreach, lead, and conversion metrics.

Marketing & Campaign Execution

Assist in developing marketing strategies and converting them into executable plans.
Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns and other marketing initiatives.
Coordinate campaign activities across digital and offline channels.
Assist in creating marketing collateral, presentations, sales material, and outreach communication.
Test different approaches to messaging, customer acquisition, and market outreach.
Track campaign performance and suggest improvements based on data.

Strategy → Execution

Participate in forming marketing and sales strategies.
Take ownership of selected initiatives from planning through execution.
Work on the ground to validate assumptions rather than relying only on theoretical research.
Identify what is working, what is not, and recommend changes.
Work closely with the Founder to translate business objectives into actionable sales and marketing activities.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is hungry to learn, comfortable taking initiative, and willing to get their hands dirty.

You should have:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Confidence in making cold calls and speaking with customers/prospects.
An interest in both sales and marketing, rather than only content or social media.
Ability to conduct market research and interpret basic business data.
Comfort working with spreadsheets, dashboards, databases, and reporting tools.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple leads/tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to work on-ground when required.
Ability to handle targets, deadlines, follow-ups, and business pressure.
A proactive, ownership-driven attitude.
Interest in building practical business skills in a startup environment.

Good to Have

Prior internship or work experience in sales, marketing, business development, market research, or a startup environment.
Experience with cold calling, lead generation, customer acquisition, or field sales.
Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets and dashboard creation.
Exposure to digital marketing and social media campaign management.
Experience using CRM, lead-management, analytics, or data-visualisation tools.
Experience building prospect/contact databases or market maps.
