What We're Looking For

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Travel Consultant to join our growing team in Bangalore, India. This is a non-client facing role where you will support the Customer Support team by handling critical back-office workflows, coordinating with internal departments and external suppliers, and ensuring smooth operational execution. If you get satisfaction from untangling logistics and making complex trips look effortless from the outside, this role is built for you.

What You'll Do

Support the Customer Support team by managing non-client-facing workflows and operational tasks.
Liaise with colleagues from other departments, as well as external suppliers including airlines, hotels, and other travel providers, to complete tasks efficiently.
Perform hotel pre-checks and ensure accuracy of bookings.
Validate GST for the India market in compliance with local requirements.
Monitor and manage operational queues to ensure timely processing.
Correct incorrectly reported transactions on the platform.
Manually update airline and hotel booking information (e.g., adding frequent flyer numbers or other mandatory data to NDC bookings).
Handle payment workflows for non-contracted suppliers, including coordination with suppliers, Finance, and other internal teams.
Process refunds accurately and within agreed SLAs.
Ensure operational processes are completed in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
Escalate issues proactively when delays or risks are identified.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in corporate travel operations, travel support, or a similar back-office travel role.
Experience working with air, hotel, and ancillary travel bookings.
Excellent written and spoken English.
High level of attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve booking discrepancies.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Comfortable working with multiple systems and following detailed operational procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Nice-to-Have

Prior experience with GST validation for the India market.
Exposure to Freshdesk, CRM/ticketing systems, or similar workflow management tools.
Knowledge of airline ticketing, hotel booking processes, refunds, and supplier communication.
Experience in a 24/7 travel operations or customer support environment.
Understanding of corporate travel policies and online booking tools.
