One of Unitedu2019s newest departments, Customer Strategy & Innovation (CSI), handles premium services, ground experience, program management, customer analytics and insights, customer service innovation, and more.

The Customer Insights and Analytics team within the CSI department collaborates with various Hubs (airports) and product teams (such as Check-in, Gate & Boarding, Inflight, F&B, etc.). Our goal is to amplify customers voices and understand their choices and behavior to influence business strategies and maximize Unitedu2019s return on customer experience investments. We analyze Unitedu2019s survey, customer, and operational data to continuously refine our understanding of how customers perceive United.

Job overview and responsibilities

As an Associate Analyst on the Customer Insights & Analytics team, you will influence a multi-phased insights and analytics strategy that supports a continuous cycle of listening, interpreting, driving action, and monitoring customer feedback. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities and communication skills. We seek creative, driven, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy tackling challenging problems with data and insights. High-level responsibilities of the role include:

Work independently to solve business problems using data mining, analysis, and automation
Leverage data from a variety of sources to analyze business performance and provide actionable insights
Support creation of presentations for United leadership and external stakeholders
Build dashboards in PowerBI
Communicate with US and India-based internal partners to contribute to analytical support
Utilize AI tools (e.g., Mi Utilize AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) to enhance daily work efficiency crosoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) to enhance daily work efficiency

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering or a quantitative discipline like Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research
Highly proficient in SQL and able to write high-performance, industry-grade, scalable code
An intellectual curiosity for manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from various sources to highlight patterns and relationships
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
About 1-2 weeks of travel to the US annually
Must be legally authorized to work for any employer without sponsorship in India
Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree
Airline experience or knowledge of airline operations preferred
Working knowledge of Python libraries
Familiar with reporting tools u2013 Spotfire/ Tableau/ Power BI
Hands-on experience using AI tools in projects, internships, or work environments.
Knowledge of automation platforms such as Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Zapier, or n8n.
