Goose Industrial Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is an Authorized Siemens System House headquartered in Kochi, with an Engineering Centre in Pune. Since 2017 we have delivered automation, control and digitalisation solutions to over 200 customers across Dairy, Marine, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Renewable Energy, Tyre & Rubber and Packaging industries, including strategic clients such as ISRO.

We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to grow our automation business deepening relationships with our existing customer base and opening new accounts across OEMs, End Users and System Integrators.

Role Purpose

Own the complete sales cycle for industrial automation products, systems and turnkey solutions in the assigned territory from lead generation and technical qualification through techno-commercial proposal, negotiation and order closure while building long-term, trust-based customer relationships that generate repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Account Growth

Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, End Users and System Integrators in the assigned territory.
Manage and grow existing accounts, conduct regular customer visits, map plant-level automation requirements and identify upgrade, retrofit and expansion opportunities.
Build and maintain a healthy, continuously updated opportunity pipeline against monthly, quarterly and annual order booking targets.
Map competition, pricing trends and market movements, and feed the insights back into positioning and strategy.

Enquiry to Order — End-to-End Ownership

Handle enquiries from lead stage to closure: requirement capture, technical clarification, solution definition, costing input, proposal submission, follow-up, negotiation and order finalisation.
Prepare and present techno-commercial offers in coordination with the engineering team, ensuring technical correctness, competitive pricing and healthy margins.
Coordinate with the internal engineering, projects and procurement teams for feasibility inputs, delivery schedules and order execution handover.
Liaise with Siemens and other principals for pricing support, product selection, special discounts and joint customer engagement.
Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, follow-ups and orders in the CRM, and submit periodic sales reports and forecasts to management.

Required Skills & Experience

2–4 years of hands-on sales experience in the industrial automation field, candidates with prior sales experience at a System Integrator will be strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience selling to OEMs, End Users and System Integrators.
Sound working knowledge of PLC systems, SCADA/HMI, VFDs and motion drives, switchgear and low-voltage electrical systems, control panels, instrumentation and field devices, and industrial networking.
Ability to read and interpret customer specifications, I/O lists, single-line diagrams and control philosophies, and translate them into a technically sound solution and bill of material.
Proven ability to independently handle an enquiry from lead stage through to order closure.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
Strong negotiation, follow-up discipline and commercial acumen
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools; willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Valid driving licence and own two-wheeler/four-wheeler preferred.

Preferred / Added Advantage

Prior experience with Siemens automation portfolio (SIMATIC S7, TIA Portal, WinCC, PCS 7, SINAMICS) or an equivalent brand such as Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi or ABB.
Exposure to any of our core segments — Dairy & Food, Marine, Oil & Gas, Pharma, Renewable Energy, Tyre & Rubber or Packaging.
