Summary:

As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by actively monitoring and investigating issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behaviors, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The engineer collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and swiftly resolve disruptions, contributing to the overall reliability and performance of business services. The work environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability and a keen eye for detail to support complex software ecosystems effectively.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
Responsible for team decisions.
Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
Coordinate with cross-functional groups to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement of support processes.
Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities.
Monitor system health and performance metrics to anticipate potential issues and implement preventive measures.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Red Hat OpenShift.
Experience with container orchestration and management within cloud environments.
Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
Familiarity with troubleshooting distributed applications and microservices architectures.
Knowledge of automation and scripting to streamline support tasks and deployments.

Additional Information:

The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Red Hat OpenShift.
This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
A 15 years full time education is required.
