This role leads a field sales team responsible for executing commercial strategy across the Haryana South territory.

You will be accountable for achieving revenue, channel, and annual performance objectives while building strong customer relationships.

The position combines people leadership, sales planning, market development, and hands-on execution.

You will coach and develop sales representatives while partnering with cross-functional teams to maximize business performance.

A strong understanding of local markets, customer dynamics, and routes to market will be essential to success.

You will also use category insights and sales tools to influence customer decisions and drive sustainable category growth.

Accountabilities

Lead, manage, develop, and motivate a team of field sales representatives, creating a high-performance culture focused on execution and results.
Partner with sales capability and training teams to ensure team members receive the development and coaching required to perform effectively.
Develop and manage an annual business plan for the assigned territory, ensuring delivery against agreed revenue, channel, and KPI objectives.
Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports to track progress against targets and identify opportunities for improvement.
Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with customers, supporting high-quality execution across relevant product categories.
Work closely with accounting, category and activation, sales, and consumer finance stakeholders to maximize returns within the territory.
Develop a strong understanding of relevant categories, market dynamics, and routes to market, using these insights to guide the sales team.
Coach team members on the effective use of category tools and market insights to influence customers and support informed commercial decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve sales execution, customer engagement, and category growth.
Ensure sales strategies are translated into effective field execution and consistently aligned with broader business objectives.

Requirements

Proven experience in sales, preferably within a fast-moving consumer goods, retail, consumer products, or similarly competitive commercial environment.
Previous experience managing and developing a team of sales representatives or field sales professionals.
Strong knowledge of the local market and routes to market relevant to the assigned territory.
Demonstrated understanding of sales processes, customer management, and commercial negotiation.
Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret performance information and translate it into action.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, team members, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong leadership and coaching capabilities, with a focus on motivating teams and developing individual performance.
Persistence, attention to detail, and a strong results-oriented mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining consistent execution against commercial objectives.
