Vendor Experience Team is looking for a dynamic engineer to join our programmatic experiences team, to deliver world-class solutions that delights our Selling Partners and Solution Providers. Selling Partners depend on us to provide robust and scalable APIs to help them automate, manage and grow their business. We are looking for Engineers with a strong sense of ownership and a passion for delivering creative solutions for complex problems on an unprecedented scale. As part of the team, you will have a significant impact on our systems, our business and most importantly, our customers, and build solutions that will achieve our vision of industry-leading API parity with our interactive experiences. Successful candidates will be innovative, flexible, self-directed, and able to design and write high-performance, reliable, maintainable code. They must also be able to design and develop innovative GenAI powered solutions to accelerate time to market. Key job responsibilities

Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
Translate functional requirements into robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance.
Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation.
Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools.
Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
Mentor junior development engineers.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
