As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring and troubleshooting to maintain system reliability and support business continuity, often collaborating with different teams to address complex challenges and deliver timely solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system performance and address any operational concerns.
Document findings and resolutions clearly to support knowledge sharing and future troubleshooting efforts.
Assist junior team members by providing guidance and sharing expertise to foster their professional growth.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in COBOL.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve software issues effectively.
Experience with debugging and troubleshooting legacy systems and applications.
Ability to work with system logs and monitoring tools to identify root causes of incidents.
Good communication skills to interact with technical teams and stakeholders for issue resolution.
Familiarity with software lifecycle processes and incident management practices.

Additional Information:

The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in COBOL.
This position is based at our NGDC1A - NON-STPI location.
A 15 years full time education is required.
