Director–ProducerAd Films | Branded Content | Documentaries | Series | Music Videos

Vortex Studios is looking for experienced Director–Producers and filmmakers to join our growing creative production network.

We're currently developing and producing a number of exciting campaigns, documentaries, series and brand-led projects, and we're looking to connect with filmmakers who can bring a strong creative point of view while understanding what it takes to take a project from an idea to the final frame.

We're open to full-time, freelance and project-based collaborations.

What we do

Our work spans:

Ad Films & Commercials
Brand Films & Branded Content
Digital & Short-Format Content
Documentaries & Documentary Series
Episodic / Branded Series
Music Videos
Event & Culture Films
Social-First Content
And other formats that don't necessarily fit neatly into a box

Who we're looking for

We're looking for Director–Producers, Creative Directors and Filmmakers who have already worked in the advertising, branded content, production house, agency or content studio ecosystem.

You should have a strong body of work and a clear understanding of how to turn an idea, brief or script into a compelling film.

We're particularly interested in people who:

Have a strong portfolio of commercial, branded or narrative work.
Understand film language, visual storytelling and creative development.
Can develop a visual treatment and translate an idea into execution.
Are comfortable working with agencies, brands, creative teams and production teams.
Can lead a project through pre-production, production and post-production.
Understand casting, locations, crew, equipment, schedules and budgets.
Can build and lead the right creative and technical teams for a project.
Know how to balance creative ambition with the realities of production.
Bring their own perspective instead of simply executing a brief.
Are collaborative, curious and obsessive about the quality of the final work.

What matters to us

At Vortex, we don't believe every brief needs to look like an advertisement.

We like work that feels real, considered, emotionally connected and creatively unexpected.

We're interested in filmmakers who can find the human story inside a brief, understand the world they're shooting in and bring a distinctive point of view to it.

Craft, storytelling, curiosity, experimentation and the courage to question the obvious matter to us.

Experience

We're particularly interested in filmmakers who have previously worked with:

Advertising agencies
Production houses
Brands
Digital / content studios
Independent production teams

We're less concerned about a specific number of years and more interested in the quality, relevance and range of your work.

Engagement

Depending on the filmmaker and project, this could be:

Full-time | Freelance | Project-based | Ongoing collaboration

We're open to finding the right format with the right person.
