The Head of Content is the senior leader responsible for Silvermine Group's entire content function, including its people, processes, editorial standards, cross-functional relationships, production systems, and final output. The right person combines exceptional editorial judgment with strong leadership, operational discipline, business acumen, and the confidence to make decisions in a complex, fast-moving organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CONTENT LEADERSHIP & GOVERNANCE

Establish a clear operating model defining how content is requested, prioritized, created, reviewed, approved, and delivered.
Define roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and accountability throughout the content development process.
Establish and maintain company-wide editorial standards, brand voice, style guidelines, messaging principles, and quality expectations.
Serve as the final editorial authority for content produced across Silvermine Group.
Ensure the Content function remains aligned with broader company strategy, revenue objectives, product priorities, customer needs, and brand direction.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP & INTERNAL CLIENT MANAGEMENT

Build strong working relationships with Leadership, Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer Service, HR, PMO, and other departments to understand their objectives, workflows, pain points, priorities, and content needs.
Develop customized working processes for individual departments where appropriate, while maintaining the core standards and governance required for a scalable company-wide content operation.
Ensure stakeholders understand how to engage the Content team and what is required from them for projects to move efficiently.
Proactively identify breakdowns in communication, ownership, or process and work with department leaders to resolve them.
Represent Content in major company initiatives, including new product launches, redesigns, new customer strategy, marketing campaign development, operational initiatives, and strategic projects.

EDITORIAL OVERSIGHT & FINAL QUALITY CONTROL

The Head of Content will provide oversight and final editorial direction across all major forms of company content, including:

Presentations & business-critical communicationsEnsure content is clear, accurate, persuasive, audience-appropriate, and aligned with Silvermine Group's positioning and voice.
Maintain consistency across brands, products, departments, channels, and customer touchpoints.
Ensure content teams understand not only what the standards are but also the business reasoning behind them.
Establish appropriate levels of editorial review so that high-risk and high-impact content receives the necessary oversight without creating unnecessary production bottlenecks.

CONTENT OPERATIONS & PROCESS DESIGN

Design, document, implement, and continuously improve Silvermine Group's end-to-end content production processes.
Build processes that balance quality, speed, accountability, and the different working requirements of internal departments.
Establish standards for campaign briefs, content requirements, source materials, stakeholder feedback, approvals, revisions, and change requests.
Ensure teams adhere to established processes and intervene when work bypasses agreed workflows or creates unnecessary risk or rework.
Implement scalable solutions rather than repeatedly solving the same operational problems project by project.
Build templates, documentation, playbooks, governance systems, and other resources that help the organization work effectively with Content.

CONTENT TEAM LEADERSHIP

Please Note: The Silvermine Content team is currently located in two locations: Bangalore and Northern India. A critical aspect of this job will be creating and fostering a team atmosphere that bridges the distance between the two teams and creates a single high performing entity in which all members feel equally and effectively supported.
Establish clear expectations for quality, ownership, communication, productivity, and professional development by providing coaching, mentorship, and structured feedback.
Assign work based on expertise, priorities, capacity, and development opportunities.
Create an environment in which team members are empowered to make decisions while understanding when issues require escalation.
Partner closely with designers, video editors, campaign teams, SEO specialists, product managers, and other creative or production resources.
Identify staffing, skill, resource needs required to support the company's growth.
Identify technology and software tools that will enable the team's success and work with finance and other management to ensure that team members have access to all of these tools.

CONTENT PLANNING & PRODUCTION

Maintain visibility across Silvermine Group's content pipeline and major production calendar.
Coordinate content support for campaigns, launches, product initiatives, seasonal programs, customer communications, internal initiatives, and strategic projects.
Balance short-term production requirements with longer-term strategic priorities.

CONTENT STRATEGY & BUSINESS ALIGNMENT

Translate business objectives, customer insights, product priorities, market opportunities, and leadership direction into actionable content priorities.
Ensure content supports customer acquisition, conversion, retention, cross-sell, product adoption, brand development, and customer experience objectives.
Partner with Marketing, SEO, Product, Sales, and other teams to identify opportunities where better content can improve business performance.
Bring an editorial perspective into product development, customer journeys, campaigns, and strategic initiatives early rather than after decisions have already been made.
Help leadership understand where content resources can create the greatest business impact.

PERFORMANCE, TECHNOLOGY & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Establish meaningful measures of content effectiveness, operational performance, quality, and business impact.
Partner with Marketing and analytics teams to evaluate content performance across email, paid media, organic search, web, social, video, and other channels.
Use performance data to improve messaging, formats, processes, and future content decisions.
Identify opportunities to test and improve content through experimentation and structured learning.
Evaluate and implement AI, automation, and emerging content technologies that improve productivity, quality, consistency, or scalability.
Establish appropriate standards for the responsible use of AI within the content development process.
Ensure technology supports strong editorial judgment rather than replacing it.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

10+ years of experience in content, editorial leadership, content marketing, communications, creative operations, or related disciplines, with significant experience leading a content or editorial function.
Demonstrated experience owning content across multiple channels, audiences, and business functions.
Strong understanding of marketing, customer acquisition, digital channels, brand positioning, customer experience, and content strategy.
Strong stakeholder-management skills, including experience partnering directly with senior executives and department leaders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with modern marketing and project-management technology such as Jira, HubSpot, Google Analytics, CMS platforms, collaboration tools, and AI-assisted content systems.
Highly proactive, accountable, pragmatic, and comfortable operating with significant autonomy.
Experience within SaaS, technology, e-commerce, transportation, regulatory compliance, or another complex digital-services environment is preferred.
