Role Description

The Sales and Marketing Intern role is a full-time, on-site position based in various locations across Maharastra (Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Ch. Sambhaji Nagar, Satara, Baramati). The interns will support sales outreach by identifying prospective institutional clients, assisting with lead generation, and participating in follow-up communication under the guidance of the sales team. Day-to-day responsibilities include helping prepare sales presentations, marketing collateral, and basic reports, as well as contributing to online and offline campaigns to promote PLAYORA to colleges and universities. The intern will interact with potential and existing customers to understand their needs, provide initial information about the platform, and help coordinate demonstrations or training sessions. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to gather feedback from users, track campaign performance, and suggest improvements to sales and marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Connect and engage with colleges, sports directors, administrators, and relevant decision-makers.

• Conduct product demonstrations, primarily through in-person meetings, with online demos wherever required.

• Take ownership of leads provided by the team and drive conversations from initial outreach to conversion.

• Follow up consistently with institutional stakeholders and move opportunities towards closure.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with colleges and their representatives.

• Understand institutional requirements and effectively communicate relevant solutions.

• Maintain accurate lead, follow-up, demo, and conversion records on the CRM.

• Coordinate with the internal team for smooth onboarding and relationship management.

• Identify opportunities to increase engagement and build a strong institutional network across the assigned region.

• Travel within the assigned region for meetings, demos, and relationship-building activities when required.

Who We're Looking For

• Marketing/Business/Management students or recent graduates.

• Strong Marathi, Hindi and English communication skills.

• Confident, outgoing and comfortable meeting new people.

• Good presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills.

• Proactive, self-motivated and target-oriented.

• Comfortable with 90% field-based work and local travel.

• Two-wheeler + valid driving licence preferred.

Programme details:

• Duration: 6 months

• Structure: Interns will work closely with our team on live projects related to our platform and business operations.

• Outcome: At the end of the internship, a limited number of high-performing interns will be offered a permanent position with Playora.

• Who we are looking for: We are specifically looking for students from Sales / Marketing backgrounds who are confident, articulate, and comfortable engaging directly with senior stakeholders.

• Key responsibilities will include: Communicating confidently with college decision-makers, including Principals, on Playora's value and adoption.

• Guiding Sports Directors through the implementation of the tool, working around their schedules.

• Explaining new features and resolving any implementation blockers for users.
