Job purpose

This position is responsible for assisting the Record to Report (R2R) team with various accounting processes, including

- Journal Entry Processing
- Account Reconciliations
- Financial Reporting Support

Responsibilities

Support Record to Report (R2R) activities, including journal entry processing, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and accounting guidelines to prevent errors and compliance issues during processing.
Adhere to defined processes and timelines for reports and schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
Update and maintain dashboards to track the progress of R2R activities and the status of multi-country engagements.
Provide prompt and comprehensive responses to queries from clients and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to R2R processes.

Functional & Technical skills

Experience in Record to Report (R2R) processes, with expertise in at least one of the following areas:
- Journal entry processing
- Account reconciliations
- Financial reporting support
Experience in process transition and adaptation to new systems or tools.
Basic knowledge of accounting processes.
Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP) is an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office packages.
Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft D365 or SAP (or similar financial systems).
Strong organizational skills, initiative, and commitment to quality work
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Qualifications & Experience

B. Com/M.Com/Pursuing ACCA, CA intermediate with 1-4 years of relevant accounting experience
