DEUTZ solutions are used in a wide range of applications, including construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling equipment such as forklift trucks and lifting platforms, stationary equipment such as generator sets (gensets) and defense applications.

Build and scale the DEUTZ ENERGY go‑to‑market setup in APAC, with focus on Southeast Asia (SEA) and Australia, by establishing and managing regional sales channels and acting as the face to the customer for all Business Unit Energy offerings. Convert regional market intelligence and customer needs into a qualified opportunity pipeline and coordinate across the relevant DEUTZ ENERGY entities to drive profitable growth across the energy sector in SEA and Australia. You will report to the Head of Business Development BU Energy and Regional President Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and manage sales channels across Southeast Asia (e.g. Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan, etc.) and Australia including dealers, distributors, project developers, rental companies and key accounts.
Design channel strategies by market segment (commercial & industrial, data centers, telecom, healthcare, rental, utilities, marine, etc.) and power band, aligned with BU Energy's global concept.
Act as single point of contact for local partners and customers, ensuring consistent customer experience.
Coordinate and present the combined portfolios of

DEUTZ Power Solutions (DPX, China),

Frerk Aggregatebau GmbH (Germany),

Maxi Trust Energia Ltda. (Brazil), and

MAGI DEUTZ (Morocco)

in line with regional demand and competition in SEA and Australia.

Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities; build and manage a structured opportunity pipeline for the SEA & Australia hub.
Translate customer needs into clear technical specifications and solution requirements for the respective DEUTZ ENERGY entities.
Provide local market, customer, and competitive insights to support bid preparation, solution positioning and negotiations.
Monitor channel partner performance and coordinate training and enablement measures where needed.
Continuously update market intelligence and contribute to product–market‑fit analysis and regional strategy for SEA & Australia.
Collaborate closely with APAMEA leadership to develop the SEA and Australia hub as a base for regional activities and share best practices with other global hubs.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field; a Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales or channel management in the energy / power generation sector (e.g. gensets, power solutions, related infrastructure), ideally with exposure to Southeast Asian markets.
Proven track record in building and managing dealer/distribution networks and closing complex, multi‑stakeholder deals in international, matrix organizations.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and manage a structured opportunity pipeline and achieve revenue/margin targets.
Excellent relationship‑building skills with dealers, distributors, project developers, key accounts and internal stakeholders; credible as the face to the customer for BU Energy in Southeast Asia and Australia.
Strategic and analytical mindset, comfortable working with market data, customer insights and competitive intelligence to support bid preparation, solution positioning and regional strategy.
Ability to manage and develop sales channels, including performance monitoring, training and capability building for partners.
Clear, persuasive communication skills in English (spoken and written); regional languages are a strong advantage, combined with high intercultural competence across diverse Southeast Asian markets.
Self‑driven, entrepreneurial, hands‑on and execution‑oriented, comfortable in a lean build‑up-environment and able to influence without direct authority.
Resilient, adaptable and willing to travel extensively (70% of time) within Southeast Asia and Australia as required to support partners and customers.
