About The Role

The Senior Manager, Growth Marketing owns how more of the right people discover Sarvam, try it, activate, and become long-term users.

This is an end-to-end growth role spanning acquisition, developer adoption, conversion, lifecycle, and experimentation. The mandate is to build growth engines that compound, across search, content, community, paid channels, product-led loops, and the product funnel itself.

The work is measured not by traffic or clicks, but by quality signups, successful API usage, retention, and revenue. This person works closely with Product, Developer Relations, Content, Sales, and Analytics to understand where growth is coming from, remove friction across the funnel, and continuously find new ways to scale adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Own the growth funnel. Own the journey from discovery → signup → first successful API call → habitual usage → paid conversion → team expansion. Understand where users drop, instrument the funnel, and systematically improve it.
Drive acquisition. Grow high-quality acquisition across search, content, community, paid search, paid social, and new distribution channels. Build a balanced mix of channels that can scale efficiently over time.
Grow developer adoption. Increase API usage and open-weight model adoption. Work closely with Product and DevRel on documentation, technical content, developer journeys, and product-led growth loops.
Own search and discoverability. Build Sarvam's presence across traditional search, technical SEO, documentation SEO, and increasingly, AI-powered search and LLM answers.
Improve activation and onboarding. Reduce the time between signup and first value. Design onboarding, lifecycle communication, product nudges, and experiments that help developers get to a successful first use case quickly.
Drive conversion. Continuously improve landing pages, signup flows, pricing journeys, paywalls, and other conversion points that turn interest into usage and usage into revenue.
Build retention and expansion loops. Identify the behaviours that predict long-term usage, churn, and account growth. Build lifecycle, re-engagement, retargeting, and product interventions around them.
Run experimentation. Maintain a continuous backlog of growth experiments across acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention. Ship quickly, measure rigorously, and scale what works.
Own growth economics. Understand acquisition efficiency across channels and cohorts. Own CAC, payback, LTV, attribution, and budget allocation, with a clear view of where the next incremental unit of growth should come from.
Analytics and instrumentation. Define the metrics the growth team runs on, ensure the right events and funnels are instrumented, and build dashboards that make performance visible and actionable.
Build AI-native workflows. Use AI across research, content, creative, SEO, targeting, experimentation, and analysis to compress cycles and operate a highly leveraged growth motion.

Requirements

7–10 years of experience in growth marketing, with hands-on ownership of a PLG or self-serve funnel
Track record of growing acquisition, activation, conversion, and revenue with quantified outcomes
Strong hands-on understanding of both search/discoverability and paid acquisition
Experience building content, community, SEO, or product-led growth loops that drove meaningful adoption
Strong experimentation discipline; able to design, run, analyse, and act on experiments rigorously
Comfort with analytics and instrumentation; able to define metrics, pull data, diagnose funnels, and understand CAC, payback, and LTV
Experience marketing to developers or technical buyers
Comfortable operating across both product and marketing surfaces rather than treating growth as a channel function
Fluent in modern AI tools across research, creative, content, analytics, and growth workflows

Good to Have

Experience growing an API, SDK, developer product, or open-weight/open-source model
Deep familiarity with SEO, AI-powered search, and LLM discoverability
Experience with lifecycle, retention, and conversion-rate optimisation
Experience building a growth motion from scratch at a founder-led or early-stage company
Familiarity with a self-serve developer motion and an enterprise sales motion running side by side
Experience managing or mentoring growth, lifecycle, SEO, content, performance, or analytics contributors
