The School of Exercise and Nutritional Sciences (ENS) at San Diego State University is searching for a full-time (Academic Year) tenure-track faculty member in the area of Applied Kinesiology. Candidates with human subjects research expertise in athletic training, biomechanics, motor control, or rehabilitation sciences are encouraged to apply. This position will be at the Assistant Professor rank and will begin August 2025. An earned academic doctorate in Kinesiology or a related field and expertise in human subjects research are required. Post-doctoral training and college-level teaching experience in relevant fields are preferred. The ideal candidate will have the potential to establish a competitive human subjects research program in athletic training, biomechanics, motor control, or rehabilitation sciences, and develop collaborations with existing faculty in the School of ENS and faculty in other centers, schools, and departments. Research experience related to diverse and underserved populations is an asset. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of advanced movement anatomy, measurement and evaluation, motor control, and biomechanics. In addition to teaching and research, the candidate will be expected to mentor graduate students and provide University service.
