About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager – Data & AI to lead our high-performing engineering teams in building data-driven platforms, products, and AI-powered solutions. This role requires a strong leader with deep technical expertise in data engineering, AI/ML, and distributed systems, combined with proven experience in scaling teams, driving innovation, and delivering enterprise-grade solutions. As a senior leader, you will partner closely with product, research, and business stakeholders to shape strategy, foster technical excellence, and ensure the execution of critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Define and execute the vision and roadmap for Data & AI platforms and products.
Build, mentor, and inspire diverse, high-performing engineering teams.
Drive engineering excellence, setting high standards for architecture, quality, security, and scalability.

Technology & Delivery

Oversee the design and development of large-scale data pipelines, AI/ML systems, and intelligent applications.
Partner with Data Science and Research teams to productize machine learning models.
Ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality, balancing innovation with business needs.
Drive adoption of modern data and AI technologies, frameworks, and tools.

Collaboration & Influence

Partner with Product, Research, and Business leaders to align technology solutions with strategic objectives.
Influence decision-making at the executive level by providing data- and AI-driven insights.
Act as a thought leader for Data & AI initiatives within the organization and industry.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI/ML, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in people and engineering management.
Proven track record in leading large, distributed teams in data engineering, AI/ML, or cloud-native platforms.
Experience delivering data platforms, real-time analytics, and AI/ML-powered products at scale.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, big data platforms (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Flink), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Hands-on knowledge of ML lifecycle management (training, deployment, monitoring).
Expertise in modern data architectures, APIs, microservices, and MLOps best practices.
