Role

We are looking for a Sales Manager – Advanced Materials to become one of the first key sales members of AKD Advanced Materials and help build the commercial engine from the ground up.

This is a hunter + relationship-builder role for someone who can identify industrial requirements, approach decision-makers, understand material specifications, generate enquiries, negotiate commercial terms and close B2B orders.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage a strong B2B customer pipeline across India and international markets.

Identify and approach OEMs, manufacturers, procurement heads, sourcing teams, distributors, fabricators and industrial buyers.

Develop business across Aerospace, Defence, Space, EV, Energy, Semiconductors, Medical, Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing.

Generate enquiries for metals, alloys, prime materials and scrap.

Understand customer requirements including grade, specification, quantity, form, certification and delivery requirements.

Coordinate with sourcing, technical and operations teams to develop competitive quotations.

Drive the complete sales cycle — prospecting → enquiry → quotation → negotiation → closure → repeat business.

Build long-term relationships with procurement heads, CXOs, plant heads and technical teams.

Maintain CRM/pipeline discipline and provide accurate sales forecasts.

Track commodity pricing, competitors, customer demand and market opportunities.

Develop new accounts while expanding existing customer relationships.

Represent AKD at relevant industrial exhibitions, conferences and business meetings.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum years of experience in B2B industrial sales, metals, materials, engineering, manufacturing, industrial procurement, commodities or technical products.
Strong sales and business-development mindset with proven ability to acquire new customers.
Good communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Ability to understand technical product specifications and commercial requirements.
Comfortable speaking with procurement heads, business owners, plant heads and senior management.
High level of ownership, persistence and commercial aggression.
Willingness to travel extensively for customer acquisition and meetings.
Strong Excel/CRM and basic commercial-analysis skills.

Plus / Preferred

Titanium, nickel, tungsten, cobalt, molybdenum or speciality alloys.
Aerospace/defence/space supply chains.
Metal trading, commodity sales or industrial raw materials.
Engineering components, CNC machining, casting, forging or fabrication.
Battery, EV, energy or semiconductor supply chains.
Export sales / international B2B sales.
Existing relationships with industrial procurement teams.
Engineering / Metallurgy / Materials background.
MBA / PGDM in Sales, Marketing, Finance or Strategy is a plus.
