The Risk Management Division encompasses the firm's comprehensive risk framework responsible for determining and managing the overall risk appetite for the firm. The division is responsible for effectively managing the firm's risk-return profile that ensures the efficient deployment of the firm's capital. It is one of the firm's core competencies and is independent of the trading areas and operational areas.

Business Unit Overview:

Credit Risk Analytics (CRA) group develops the quantitative methodologies used to measure counterparty credit risk provides analyses and consultation on credit risk quantification, participates in global efforts on modelling credit risk exposure.

This team is responsible for the enhancement and methodological support of PRISM, the global counterparty credit exposure measurement system, to accommodate new business needs and maintain compliance with major regulatory standards, including SEC/NFA, PRA, and J-FSA. The team works to support business and risk managers on live structured derivatives transactions and handles various regulatory requirements including backtesting, Model Performance Monitoring (MPM), stress testing, model reviews, calibration, User Acceptance Testing, and documentation of models.

The group has a vacancy for a Vice President in the Mumbai office the role is a permanent position.

Role & Responsibilities:

To be a technical lead for the Mumbai CRA team focusing on OTC derivatives model development related work. Help the team understand Quant framework and to enable them to apply theory to practice.
Provide analyses and consultation on credit risk quantification. Participate in global efforts on modeling credit risk exposure.
Work closely with global development teams on implementation of models and systems
Implementation of risk models into strategic risk system (this includes developing methodology, building prototype, writing technical business requirement document, performing model testing, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and liaising with model validation group).
To work on various regulatory requirements, Model performance reviews, Calibration, and to work on ad-hoc risk models as per business requirements.

Competitive knowledge of Derivatives product, Derivatives pricing theory including underlying Stochastic Calculus, Counterparty exposure concepts, Regulatory regimes.
10+ years of experience working within FO/risk methodology/model validation areas preferably as a model developer
Understanding of source code version control using Git and hands-on experience of writing unit test
Masters/PhD in a quantitative discipline
Strong command over Python and MS-Excel/ VBA
Strong verbal skills and ability of scientific writing for model and testing documentation
Delivery focussed with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines under compressed timescales
Organisational skills, multi-tasking and detail oriented
