Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Oversee and manage the taxation function, ensuring compliance with the Income Tax Act, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and other relevant tax laws in India.

· Lead the preparation and timely filing of various tax returns, including income tax, GST, and TDS returns.

· Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the tax position of the organization.

· Conduct regular tax audits and assessments, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.

· Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization, ensuring timely adjustments to tax strategies.

· Collaborate with internal departments (finance, accounting, and legal) to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to tax compliance.

· Provide expert guidance on tax-related queries, ensuring the finance team understands compliance requirements and best practices.

· Manage relationships with external tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities to ensure smooth communication and compliance.

· Prepare detailed documentation to support tax positions taken in tax returns and during audits.

· Conduct training sessions for finance and accounting staff on tax compliance, updates, and best practices.

· Monitor and manage tax risks, ensuring proactive measures are taken to mitigate exposure and comply with statutory requirements.

· Lead the implementation of tax-related policies and procedures to enhance compliance and efficiency.

· Assist in Consolidation and preparation of Financial Statements, approval of entries, scrutiny of books of accounts.

Qualifications & Experience:

· CA Mandatory

· 3 to 4 Yrs

Required skills:

· Comprehensive knowledge of Indian tax laws, including the Income Tax Act, GST Act, and relevant compliance requirements.

· Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems (e.g., Tally,ERP, SAP, QuickBooks) for managing taxation and financial reporting.

· Strong analytical skills for conducting tax analysis, assessments, and audits.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns and related documentation.

· Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (Indian GAAP, Ind-AS) and regulatory compliance

· Experience in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements.

· Understanding of Indian tax regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and experience in compliance and filing.

Preferred Skills:

·Experience in tax planning, compliance, and strategy development for large organizations or multinational corporations.

· Familiarity with transfer pricing regulations and documentation requirements in India.
