Your role:

We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Engineer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in building and managing data solutions using Microsoft Azure, SQL, and Power BI, primarily focused on delivering solutions within the finance domian. This role also involves mentoring and supervising a junior Power BI developer, ensuring high-quality dashboard delivery and data visualization standards,as well as continually exploring new technoligies to ensure the team is always using the best practivce and delivery tools. This is a hands-on role based in India but requiring extensive involvement and collaboration with colleagues across VTBA and the broader Atlas Copco Group.

Main Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and related services
Write optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for various business units
Supervise and guide a junior Power BI developer, ensuring adherence to best practices and timely delivery
Monitor data quality, integrity, and performance across systems
Implement data governance and security protocols in line with organizational standards

To succeed, you will need:

Work Experience:
At least 2 years experience in a similar position within a complex multi-national organisation.

Skills / Qualification:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Blob Storage, etc.)
Solid experience with SQL Server and writing complex queries
Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modelling, and dashboard creation
Ability to mentor and supervise junior team members effectively
Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and agile development practices
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
