Surpluss is a B2B surplus inventory and liquida;on plaMorm helping businesses turn

excess stock into revenue.

We work with corporates, retailers, ins;tu;ons, and brands to move surplus inventory

into new markets. We are also building our corporate giRing business, helping

companies source quality branded products for employees, customers, partners, and

events.

Backed by Antler, Surpluss operates across soRware services and inventory trading, with

an India base and global trading reach.

About the Role

We are looking for an energe;c and ambi;ous Business Development Associate to help

grow Surpluss's B2B business.

Your core responsibility will be to iden+fy poten+al customers, reach decision-makers,

generate mee+ngs, develop opportuni+es, and convert them into customers and

revenue.

You will work across two key areas:

1. Corporate GiGing — acquiring companies looking for giGing solu+ons.

2. Surplus Inventory — iden+fying businesses that can purchase surplus and excess

inventory.

This is a hands-on sales role with direct exposure to customers, nego;a;ons, and the

leadership team.

What You'll Do

• Iden;fy and research poten;al B2B customers and relevant decision-makers.

• Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline.

• Reach prospects through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, referrals, and networking.

• Connect with procurement, purchasing, HR, administra;on, marke;ng, and

business teams.

• Understand customer requirements and iden;fy relevant business opportuni;es.

• Schedule and conduct customer mee;ngs and presenta;ons.

• Prepare proposals, quota;ons, and pitches with support from the internal team.

• Follow up consistently and move opportuni;es through the sales process.

• Nego;ate with customers and drive opportuni;es towards closure, with support

from the leadership team where required.

• Maintain accurate customer and sales informa;on in the CRM.

• Develop exis;ng customers to generate repeat business.

• A_end relevant exhibi;ons, trade shows, and networking events when required.

What We're Looking For

• 0–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or B2B sales.

• MBA/PGDM preferred, but not mandatory — open to strong graduates from any

discipline.

• Excellent communica;on and interpersonal skills.

• Comfortable speaking to new people and making cold calls.

• Strong persuasion, follow-up, and nego;a;on skills.

• Target-oriented and mo;vated by achieving results.

• Proac;ve, self-driven, and willing to take ownership.

• Commercially minded and interested in understanding how businesses buy and

make decisions.

• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.

• Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, LinkedIn, and CRM tools.

• Willingness to travel for client mee;ngs and business events.
