Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Ensure invoices are processed and paid in accordance with payment terms.
Collaborate closely with the US-based accounting team to ensure accurate and timely communication of financial data and reports.
Prepare and maintain financial records, documents, and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
Reconcile discrepancies and resolve any issues related to financial transactions and records.
Assist with tax-related matters, including indirect taxes, income taxes, and withholding tax calculations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Monitor changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and ensure the company's accounting processes remain compliant.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
Provide support during external audits and collaborate with auditors as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and sensitive company information.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or equivalent are a plus.
Proven experience (3-5 years) in general accounting roles, preferably with exposure to US GAAP
Proficiency in using accounting software and tools. Experience with Microsoft Business Central
Strong understanding of Indian and US tax regulations, and experience in handling cross-border transactions is desirable.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with acute attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Other Requirements

Will require work on some nights till 8:00PM
Proficient in English
