We are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing next generation data platforms to drive incremental revenue.

Essential Functions:

• Hands-on Programming

• Full-stack development contributes to the design of backend, databases and queries, API creations and consumptions, and contributes to frontend UI development.

• Works independently with minimal insight to develop software that conforms to Visa's high standards of security, quality, performance, resiliency, and compliance.

• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.

• Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate

• Provide third-level support to business users.

• Keep up with current and developing engineering trends.

• Work with architects, systems analysts, project managers and other developers to efficiently implement business requirements while applying the latest available tools and technology.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualification:

• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, J,MD)

• Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on expertise with Java, Spring, Python and related technologies

• Experience in Gen AI, Big data and UI technologies will be an added advantage

• Experience with highly distributed, scalable, concurrent and low latency systems working with one or more of the following database technologies: DB2, MySQL and NoSQL data warehouses such as HBase.

• Experience working in an Agile and Test-Driven Development environment.

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated Test tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, Selenium, Chef desirable.

• Strategic thinker and good business acumen to orient data engineering to the business needs of internal clients.

• Demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, strong attention to detail, team oriented, energetic, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style.
